Curves

Bitwig’s Limitation

speed of the phase should be generally adjusted right after the Phase module (resp. right after reset module, which should be right after the Phase md.), otherwise if fnct is changed to bipolar, or resized (two lower oscilloscope in pic bellow) it heywire..
– while Scaler is more fluent workflow, Shift module can be more continuously returned to original phase but only in discrete values (so phase reset would not happen in the middle of fastened wave) and change time is limited by the length of waveform.

In pics bellow are sinh fnct. One can see that sinh has in x 3 value y 10 (Rpic), so phase is multiplied by 3 and output divided by 10 and than multiped by 2 since sinh is half of e^t value – Lpic (so it is divided by 20 and not just 2).
Also as one can see that despite the beauty of parametric sinh curve, one have to fit it into modulation range (y) and time of the bar – so connection between math curve and final use in DAW is bit tricky and loose .. and for that reason it is not bad idea to often limit yourself to 1:1 (as in pic above) – for which is some special name I just forgot..
