– Enveloper curvature could in previous MIDI version be changed based on midi notes – in order to strike right ratios of curvature, which is very similar to pitch –  shown and explained in – here – first chapter I-a. Exponential: Power, Root and LOG.

Signal in MIDI version started start in left – see MIDI IN.
Similarly as in pic about Envelope (in link above) previous version used power/ root of 14 – and curvature is triggered from midi starts on:

C3 to C4 for 1 – 2 power/ root. 
C4C5 – for 2 – 4 power/ root.
C5 C6 – for 4 – 8 power/ root.
C6B6 – for 8 – 14,6 power/ root.
C7 would be 16 – but it is barely useful and would need additional wiring (so it is skipped. Curve modules goes only to 4 power/ root, btw)).

 

Attack is set by ratio to decay:
If they are suppose to be 1:1 – then attack is 2xspeed and Decay 1/2.
If attack is 6x faster, u set up attack 6x faster and then … I have no idea how to set it up yet.. but note on/off and attack time is kept in time, just sustain needs to tweak according to oscilloscope.. 

Routing

In this version signal starts at Ratio launcher where are knobs Attack and Decay knobs (values between 10-12 are set w/ aditional knob) that manually change curvature according well-tempered scale ratios and then it goes to Linear Exponent part – cause each octave needs different setting to keep same ratios..
Then it goes to set regular simple equation which is then routed as output.
On right end is Splitter that was suppose to trigger different setting and so make different Envelopes for each tune, but it did not so far work…

Preset works in mono (for only one note) and setting step length is cumbersome – u need to set start and end if doing manually. But u should use mostly functions for that…

It is arp that: goes in any note length ratio (you can also use decimals etc.) and any frequency. Both can be further altered w/ log or other functions that is now hardly possible anywhere else – ODDSOUND can come close in some aspect, but I think it does not have polynomial and other fnctn. etc.). The function can be further use for modulation and or curves in ADSR.
Since it runs in Phase, you can easily prolong, pause or shorten Phase in live jamming to enhace setting since phase is basically treated as bar.
Midi can be exported: and it does not leave first step empty like Architect usually do.))
You can of course combine more phases for different tracks. Change of phase and timing will also project into modulation if desired, or only some modulations that serves rather like automations…
Nother cool thing is, that notes are in blocks that can combines: In here in Prelude each arp is repeated 4x, so you do not have to write midi 4x just set it to repeat. But you it does not have to repeat 100 % identically as you can see in preset, that each arp block has different polynomial fnct.
Version 3
will come with Snaphots, Delays-echoes etc. adn V4 should do bassfiguring..

– fnction controls not only frequency, but time also time domain – in construction…
– as u can see, it is divided into 4 parts:
1 quarter is running in fnct y = x^1.46, 2q: 0.72 – so, first q. is running faster than slowdown and 2q – yes, you got it..

– because sounds overtones are generally multiplying 2x, log equation can not continue above one octave.

But – Rule no1 of any failed composer – use all disadvantages to your advantage:

Here in left is chosen length, that is displayed in oscilloscope and than on right is chosen note. This is than send up – see pic bellow)). All bar/ Phase can be twisted in Polynomial part in top center, but better would be chose/ jam length by function in the first place – but I still duno how yet..))

As you can see it tested on Bach´s first bars of firs Prelude (notes bellow).

Issue w/ Prelude Or why Gate is not used..

Here the note is given ratio, that ratio is used as offset from equal tempering (top, or right bellow as other log functions) and than with round module on right make it usable for synth – output on right top..

 

In Architect I was struggling with limitation in arrays etc. on just integers (No Float values), multiply/ devide step values are limited to 24, no modulation of cents and hard to combine MIDI with modulation/ automation.

In the Grid steps are also define by Phase – log and polynomial functions and everything is displayed – so you can easily jam and also used this to modulate other parameters..

 

 





Stepmodule get some update in 2022 but is still clunky and reset module is still not resetting properly.. and missing note off.

Looks to me like there is too much hassles to get thru this for just a little bit complex notes (like 7/16) and when one start to jam, it goes pretty easily heywire.
